A Day With the Downes

Monday...the last day...heading to the 31st street beach!
The water was really cold...but nothing worse than Sand Beach or Cape Neddick on the East Coast.

Close up! That's me in the reflection! Haha

The view of the skyline is a perk of the south side beaches.
Quick story: Madylyn Buswell told Genet to shove Colby, Marcus, Jojo and I in the lake, get our clothes wet, and put sand down our backs. Shame, first of all, on Madylyn...for thinking that Genet could possibly manage any of those things. The first thing Genet did was tell us all about her plan, and then she utterly failed to execute it. Oh, Genet.

Bad quality picture...but as you can see we're set up comfortably in the grass.

After all the sunburns, splashing and football, we headed to dinner.

Hahaha Jojo.

Now this is the face I wanted. The flash is good for something,

Colby and Marcus. Ha.

:)

Hahaha the one with the curly fries is the one with the power.

LOL the sensation of pepperoni deep dish pizza.

Meanwhile, Meagan was obviously feeling neglected. 8 messages. Thank you, Meagan.

Genet's pizza was confiscated and offered to Marcus. Twice. Hahaha

One of the several occasions when Genet said she was going to beat Marcus up.

Genet finally eating her half piece of pepperoni pizza.

He looks like a bug.

We're pretty much brothers and sisters...Even though at this moment I wasn't too happy with the pictures being taken.

I find this really funny. Im sorry, Colby. Get a new phone.

We decided to do some sightseeing after dinner...The lions outside the Art Institute have Blackhawks helmets on! Haha!

What we could see of the bean...we didnt actually stop anywhere. We drove along lake shore drive and michigan ave and all that.

The bridge in While You Were Sleeping.

The water tower: the only building not destroyed by the Chicago fire.

Ooooooooh...a little bigger than the one in the Bangor Mall.

Water Tower Place

Rainbow

The Belmont Marina.

I love the murals and colors all over the city.

Coolio.

The Buckingham Fountain.

The super vivid Buckingham Fountain.

One of the statues facing each other in Grant Park.

Mama D loves her pictures...not unlike myself.

The horsey on Congress.

The Sears Tower! Not the Willis Tower.

Nice, eh?

If i ever get a car, it will be green.

The rush hospital...on thursday we were admiring it from the blue line on those tracks.

"Did you get my good side?"

Reese's ice cream, moose tracks, and the last of the stale brownies. Yum yum yum!

Jaida! This girl is hilarious.

Oh my gosh. Hahahaha

We made it home in time to watch a shutout! Go Bruins!!!

Hockey brawls done right.

The lone Blackhawks fan...even though she's lived in Maine longer than Chicago.

Haha! Colby repping Getchells.

If I were to be my usual, mischievous, self…
I would place a certain picture here.
But I won't.
Suffice it to say:
Marcus and Kodiak = BFFs

Crazy A and her shadow, Jaida.

Victory dance.

Undermining the little sister's cray boxing skills.

Kodiak and Marcus

Mom and Mama D

Alyssa and her trusty nasal spray. Lol

Colby...playing batman probably.

A little father-daughter convo.
